Henk Badings (January 17, 1907 - June 26, 1987) was a self-taught Dutch composer.

Badings was innate inside Bandung, Java. He worked as a mining engineer at Delft University until 1937, after which he dedicated his life completely to music. Badings got his 1st profits within 1937 when his first violoncello concerto was performed at a Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. He held many teaching positions; e.g., at a Musikhochschule Stuttgart.

Badings utilized unusual scale & harmonies (e.g., a octatonic scale); he also utilized a harmonic series shell from either a eighth to the fifteenth overtone. He died around Maarheeze.
